Research Use Policy

Who may buy from us, what these materials are for, and what they are emphatically not for.

Research use only

Every material sold by Caltrexa Labs is supplied strictly for laboratory research use. Our materials are not for human or veterinary use of any kind. They are not offered for personal, household, therapeutic, diagnostic, prophylactic, or clinical use, and they are not food, cosmetics, or supplements.

Statements made about these materials have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the materials are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Caltrexa Labs is a supplier of research materials. We are not a pharmacy, not a compounding facility, and not a clinical provider.

Who may purchase

We sell to qualified research customers: institutions, laboratories, and the professionals working in them, purchasing in the course of legitimate research. By placing an order you confirm that you are purchasing in that capacity, that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction, and that the information you have given us is accurate.

We may ask you to confirm your research capacity before an order ships. Orders that do not meet these requirements may be declined or cancelled.

Permitted use

These materials are intended for in vitro research, analytical and reference work, and method development, carried out by trained personnel in an appropriately equipped facility, under that facility’s own safety and ethical oversight.

Prohibited use

You may not administer these materials to humans or to animals. You may not use them in, or in preparation for, any clinical or diagnostic procedure. You may not represent them as drugs, supplements, or therapies, and you may not repackage, relabel, or resell them as such.

Redistribution is not permitted without our written agreement. Where you transfer material within your own institution, the obligations in this policy travel with it.

Handling and storage

Handle all material as you would any uncharacterized laboratory reagent, using your facility’s established controls. Store it as described on its documentation. Once material has been delivered, its storage, handling, and disposal are the receiving lab’s responsibility, and are outside our control.

Documentation

Every order ships against a specific lot, and every published lot carries a Certificate of Analysis with its purity and identity results. Current and archived lot records are in the COA library. Where a result matters to your work, read the record for the lot you actually received rather than the compound in general.

Our right to decline

We may decline or cancel any order, at any point, where we believe these terms are not being met, where the information given to us appears inaccurate, or where supplying the material would be unlawful. Where we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund it.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for using these materials lawfully and safely, and for complying with the rules that apply to your institution and your jurisdiction. Caltrexa Labs accepts no liability for use of a material outside the terms of this policy.

Acceptance

Placing an order with Caltrexa Labs means you accept this policy. If you cannot accept it, please do not order from us.
